Fishing Report 05/30/17

A couple of nice Stripers made it to the dinner table!

(Pictures from Sunday 05/28/17)

Striper fishing has started gearing up locally in the past week. We managed a few keepers on our first trip of the season, and there were a lot of shorts and a few early arriving bluefish catches mixed in this past Sunday. Migrating schools of Stripers are pushing through our waters daily now, some of which will take up summer residence here. Now is the time to get your charter dates in the books! The calendar is filling up. Midweek trips are the best bet as there is less boat traffic than weekends. That means the ratio of fish to anglers improves!

Montauk – Multi Species Trips start 06/27/17

We will start our 9 hour All day Multi-Species charters on June 27th to coincide with the Black Sea Bass opener in NYS waters. Cost for the 9 hour trip is $890 (max 6 passengers) and we will be bottom fishing the Montauk waters for Jumbo Fluke, Sea Bass, Porgies, and the occasional Striper or Blue. These trips will leave the dock at 7am and return at 4pm. Good fluke reports are already coming in out of Montauk and we can’t wait to see how the Black Sea Bass fishery shapes up this year! Don’t “knock” the porgies either, they are great fun to catch and also great to eat!

Split Charters/Open Boat Trips

If you would like to get out fishing but can’t get a group of 6 together, we have the answer! Call us and get on the standby list for midweek Sunset Striped Bass Open Boat dates as well as Montauk Fluke open boat dates. If either of these interest you, please give us a call at 860 962 0103.
