Fishing Report 06/01/17 Exploratory Fluke Trip

We ran an exploratory trip to the Montauk Fluke grounds today.

Overall if the tide was right we would have really done some damage. Our mate, Chris Nelson had the hot hand on the fluke today getting his limit. We also hit the Race for some last minute drifts to cash in on the amazing local Striper action while the tide was still in our favor. As you can see, we put some quality fish in the boat in short order. Today’ trip we had Fluke up to 22″, and Stripers pushing the high 20lb mark. Sea Bass were also caught up to 4 lbs, but we released them as we were fishing in NYS waters and the season does not open there until 6/27 (as of today).

Here are the results of what made it from the sea to the table from today’s trip.
