Fishing Report 7/29/17

Its been a busy couple of weeks with some great reports on the local fisheries. Porgies are now in close with plenty of action and keeper sized fish mixed in with mostly short fluke and sea bass.

Striper fishing has been very good and the bluefish have made daily appearances in force typically late in the day. Montauk Fluke fishing has been spotty the past week as the fish are on the move and take a while to locate. Sea Bass fishing has produced tons of shorts and a fair amount of keepers. Montauk porgy fishing remains solid.

We are doing some open boat trips in August for Night Striper fishing! Open boat dates are going to be Sat 08/05, Monday 08/07, and Wednesday 08/09. Times will vary departing between 6pm and 7pm. More details to follow. Last full moon we did very well in a 24 hour period with best fish ranging 25-40lbs. Lets see if this moon repeats the results.

We still have weekday dates available in August and a few weekend dates in September. Don’t miss out! September is a great month for fishing and weather.
