Fishing Report Sept. 2020

Striped Bass Fishing Charters Connecticut

Striped Bass fishing has been OFF THE CHARTS so far this month!

It has been a good mix of all sizes of Striped Bass. Some we have had to revive and release (like the one above due to being too big) with plenty of keeper sized slot fish and “juniors” keeping the rods bent. Some bigger Bluefish are also making an appearance as the water temps start to cool down. The 5.5 hour trip is the best way to go for targeting these species. We will continue to run the 5.5 hour charters through Mid October. We still have some dates available between now and then. To check the calendar, available times and book instantly, click here: 5.5 Hour Charters

On the bottom fishing front, Black Sea Bass and Porgies continue to please on all trips. If you are however looking to stock up on these particular bottom species the 7 or (Full day 9 hour charter) are your best options. With the new retention limit increases for our boat (Porgies went to 45 per person and Black Sea Bass 7 per person), the longer rides are worth it to cash in. We cover Block Island/Montauk grounds for the limited date 9 hour trip. To check and book directly online for either of these two options, click the links posted below:

Blackfish Charters Connecticut

BLACKFISHING! BLACKFISHING! BLACKFISHING! will start in just about 3 weeks from now.! We will transition over to the 7 Hour “Extended Day” Blackfishing Charters starting in Mid October and continue until the end of the season (late November). Here is a QUICKLINK to check our calendar and book your BLACKFISH Charter directly online. Last year was very good and we are looking forward to this season’s result. All Tackle and Green Crabs (Bait) is provided. They make excellent table fare too. In the mix we typically get some migrating Black Sea Bass and Triggerfish on these trips as well.

We still have 2 more good month’s worth of fishing upon us!

Stay safe, think fishing!
