Here is what they will be doing!

8:30 Meet and Greet

We will provide Apples, Oranges, Bananas and Water. Say goodbye to your child (or children) and go enjoy your day off!

9:00 – 11:30 Boating 101: Topics: Boating Safety/Terms/Boating knots/navigation/under deck/above deck/Coast Guard Rules/ Fishing Equipment/ Fishing Knots/Cutting Bait. Your child will be in hands on training throughout.

11:30 – 12:30 LUNCH: We will provide lunch ordered right on site at the Dock Restaurant. We will all have lunch together and then off to go fishing.

12:15 – 4:15 FISHING Topics: Everything related to fishing! Capt and mate will do some one-on-one training on technique. As the fish come aboard, we will identify each type, measure them, and either return or retain them depending on size. Capt. and mate will also demonstrate filleting, skinning, and examining the contents of what they are eating. We will start heading back to the dock around 3:45. The participants can feed the seagulls on the way back.

4:25–4:45 will be pickup.

Our goal with offering these camps is to introduce younger generations to fishing and boating. Providing an alternative to “screen time” in the summer. Perhaps they may find interest in becoming a mate or Captain someday!
